South Asia Long Backpacking Packing Guide

The biggest mistake I have ever made in my travelling experience is to not travel South Asia in typical traveller backpacker style. To be honest, I was not meant to travel Asia solo travel and so the person I was meant to travel with had to return back to London last minute which left me by myself. I now had to turn this what was meant to be more of a trip on the luxurious side of things for 2 to a solo trip. It became the most frustrating when I ended up in Bangkok on a bus with 2 suitcases and a backpack. Luckily I have family in Sri Lanka and was able to drop off one of the suitcases there but I wish I had gone even lighter at that point.

To save you all from that, here is my South Asia backpacker style packing guide. I will return to Asia and that’s when I will use this list myself.
